That said, taxes are important and we ALWAYS recommend filing an extension if time is tight. When you have more time to work, you can avoid errors you might otherwise make under time-sensitive stress. Just be sure to go ahead and get your taxes wrapped up soon if you file an extension. You don’t want to find yourself in the same position come October when your extended file will be due!
